Try wearing loose and comfortable clothing like cotton or linen. The lighter the better to keep you cool.

-     Stay hydrated. Drink plenty of water throughout the day.

-     Take a cool bath or a swim. Water can help alleviate the stress that pregnancy puts on your joints. The cool water is also helpful in bringing down your body temperature during these hot summer days.

-     Avoid midday sun. Midday sun is the hottest part of the day and you are more likely to get sunburned. Wear a hat when going outside and make sure to put on sunblock with a high SPF.

-     Get plenty of rest when possible. Pregnancy can be tiring in itself, let alone on these extra hot days! Take time for yourself and relax when you can!
